Flashbulb, the creator of the popular online physics-based construction game Trailmakers, and online brawler Rubber Bandits is seeking a talented backend / live-ops engineer to join our passionate team.
Responsibilities
As a Backend / Liveops Engineer at Flashbulb, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for the following:
- Developing, improving, and maintaining our backend infrastructure.
- Implementing matchmaking systems to enhance the player experience.
- Optimizing and enhancing server-side code for performance and scalability.
- Integrating with backend and profile systems on platforms like Steam, Xbox, Playstation, and mobile.
- Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
- Collaborating with teammates to solve technical challenges and contribute to the overall success of the company.
- Writing, reviewing, and taking ownership of technical documentation.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should ideally have the following qualifications:
- Experience in building scalable multiplayer backend solutions.
- Familiarity with console development and integration.
- Previous game programming experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of one or more of these areas: C# asp.net core, Docker, terraform, Azure cloud.
Nice to have:
- Proficiency in Unity and network layer development.
- Knowledge of Perforce for version control and Jenkins for build server.
- A passion for gaming and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the industry.
